Stupid Cardinals

Dear Rangers fans, Im writing you as a Tigers fan, hardly more importantly as a baseball fan. As you know the dep permited Tigers, stricken with late season injuries, were uneffective to bring home the pennant. They battled hard though, and forced a sextette game series with the defending AL champs, the Texas Rangers. My focus because turned to the NLCS matchup. I have never really had a problem with the Brewers, since one of my favorite baseball memories was against them (Verlanders first no-hitter). But, disappointingly, the Brewers motion turn up to the wild card St. Louis Cardinals. Yes, the same darn Cardinals that discharge my home team Tigers in 06. I found myself in a slight predicament. I could simply not consider the World Series, since I did not want either team to win, or deal with it. Yet, I am a Tigers fan, simply more importantly a baseball fan. So, I struggled through and through the first 5 games of the Fall Classic, and when I thought it could not channel untold longer, it did. I did not think much about who I actually wanted to win, until the final hurt moments of game 6. It was then that I realized what was at stake. The Rangers, in only their second World Series appearance, were one out away from capturing their first World Series trophy.

The Rangers were never as much as an enemy to the Tigers, then as a worthy opponent. Players were seen before games hanging out and catching up. I do not think whatsoever Detroit fan has any harsh feelings against Texas. The Tigers made it to the postseason for the first eon in 5 years and the fans knew what they had in both teams. It was not the Tigers year and they woolly to the better team. This being said, the Cardinals were a different story. It was only five years ago that the Cardinals won the World Series against Detroit. That time the Tigers let one slip away. Errors doomed the Tigers as they let the series fall to the Cards.
