During the 1960s the civic castigates drive came about the American unexclusive was in an turmoil because African Americans were conflict for the uniform rights as Caucasian Americans. In this paper I will talk about public opinion and the media reporting of cultured rights. The imp puzzle out that Martin Luther King younger had on civil rights and the nonviolent protest movement fighting for the rights of African Americans. Malcolm X and the changing nature of the civil right movement during the 1960 are for African Americans. The public opinion and media coverage is different between African Americans and Caucasian Americans.
Caucasian Americans were so use to segregation between blacks and whites that the idea of African Americans having the same rights they have was hard to except. John E. Kennedy brought about the civil rights act during 1964 which opposed Eisenhowers 1957 act to keep Democrats hierarch. African American life expectancy was 7 years less than that of an sightly white American. African American lives affected anything that they did to white American if they moved into a white neighborhood so wholenessr of the ghetto topographic point values would drop.



So the white public opinion stood that African Americans would basically ruin anything that they did.
The media coverage did non help only showing the Caucasian side and their opinions instead of having an African Americans opinions and their side of the story to. It brought to an land up attitudes and practices in the South and elsewhere that shamed both practice of law and journalism. (Nelson, 2001) With the coverage of Martin Luther King Jr. and all the press prospect he got with his speeches it may not have changed the civil rights movement at all.
